If you are holding an event for which you will award CPE, under the COPAS CPE licensing you must first notify us of the event with this form.

Prerequisites ?

If this presentation has been designated an intermediate or advanced course you must include at least one prerequisite eg. "some previous accounting experience required" or "some prior knowledge of Excel."

If there is any advance preparation required for attendance in the event please state it here.
Presentation Length* ?
CPE presentations must include a minimum of 50 minutes of educational material for 1 CPE credit. COPAS awards CPE in 1/2 credit increments thereafter. 1.5 credits = 75+ minutes; 2 CPE credits = 100+ minutes; 2.5 CPE credits = 125+ minutes; 3 CPE credits = 150+ minutes etc.

We need to know if the presenter wrote the presentation materials

Author CPA/Tax Agent Number and State* ?

If the presentation is an Auditing or Accounting presentation the CPA number and State of the author is required. If the presentation is a Tax presentation the CPA number or Tax Agent ID number and State of the author is required. If the author does not have a CPA or Tax Agent number type "need review." If the course does not fall into these Fields of Study type "not applicable."
